Insion offers dual channel ultraviolet (UV) and visible (VIS) microspectrometers which are based on a self-focusing Echellette diffraction grating in the Rowland configuration. The functional elements of the microspectrometer – entrance slit, reflective grating, deflecting mirror and light traps – are monolithically integrated into a single chip. The use of micro-injection moulding technology ensures that the microspectrometer chip, lid and enclosure are manufactured to a high standard. Thus, the manufacturing process results in excellent optical performance characteristics and inter instrument agreement.

Insion´s dual channel UV/VIS optical microspectrometers are available as a fully housed rugged plug & play kit. The kits are great for end users since it includes the module, housing, electronic platform and software for control and data pre-processing. The state-of-the-art, high sensitivy S-CMOS sensors facilitates precise measurements. The device has a specified wavelength range between 350 nm and 850 nm, a resolution of 10 nm and two SMA connectors for fibre coupling. In addition, a wavelength range of 350 nm to 1,000 nm is accessible though not specified.
