Insion UV to NIR microspectrometer

Wide range monolithic microspectrometer (OEM) for spectral sensing applications. No moving parts, small dimensions, easy and flexible handling, for operation from 200 to 1070 nm. Operating temperature from 0 to 40 degrees Celcius.

Description

Insion offers ultraviolet (UV) to near-infrared (NIR) optical spectrometers. These are based on a self-focusing Echellette diffraction grating in the Rowland configuration. The functional elements of the microspectrometer – entrance slit, reflective grating, deflecting mirror and light traps – are monolithically integrated into a single chip. The use of micro-injection moulding technology ensures that the microspectrometer chip, lid and enclosure are manufactured to a high standard. Thus, the manufacturing process results in excellent optical performance characteristics and inter instrument agreement.

Product features:
  • Wide accessible wavelength range of 200 – 1070 nm.
  • No moving parts.
  • Excellent mechanical, optical and thermal stability.
  • Unsurpassed price / performance ratio.
  • Small dimensions
  • Easy and flexible handling.
Detector:

The state-of-the-art, highly sensitive, low noise CMOS sensors facilitates precise measurements in the UV to NIR range in hand held devices and in-line process sensors.  The Insion UV to NIR optical spectrometers are currently available in the specified wavelength range of 200 nm to 850 nm. However, a wavelength range of 200 nm to 1070 nm is accessible.

Options:

Insion´s UV to NIR microspectrometers are available as fibre-connected OEM microspectrometer modules (UV2NNIR /M) or as fully housed rugged plug & play kits (UV2NNIR /H). The fibre-connected OEM microspectrometer module is a simple module which do not include readout electronics; as a result, it is ideal for integrating into your own system. The fully housed rugged plug & play kit is a great option for end users; it is user-friendly and includes the module, housing, an electronic platform and software for control and data pre-processing.

Additional Benefits:

Due to its small dimensions, the use of the microspectrometer allows for an amazingly small sampling and detection system at the point of interest. Hence minimising typical sampling errors, e.g. the change of the sample constitution between sampling and off-line analytical investigation. Thus, the microspectrometer grants enhanced specificity and sensitivity.
