The latest in Photonics

The new pco.edge 10 bi CLHS is PCO’s next level sCMOS camera with unprecedented imaging performance. With a back-illuminated image sensor, the pco.edge 10 bi CLHS comes with a quantum efficiency of up to 85 % with broad spectrum out to NIR. The sensor incorporates microlenses and a full-pixel height deep trench isolation for suppressing crosstalk and achieving excellent modulation transfer function for highest image quality.

Thermal stabilisation of the sensor leads to extremely low dark current and a readout noise of just 0.7 electrons. The sensor technology enables reduction of the noise peak which makes the noise comparable to that of CCD sensors.

Our long term partner AA Opto-electronic have recently launched a brand new website showcasing their extensive range of acousto-optic devices, RF drivers and amplifiers including DEEP UV and UV modulators and frequency Shifters from 190-300nm / 300-400nm with large aperture and high efficiency. Extremely compact  fixed frequency drivers TMOD. These drivers based on quartz oscillators, produce a fixed stable and accurate RF frequency signal in 10-400 MHz. The built-in power amplifier delivers the necessary RF power up to 4W. The RF output power can be externally modulated with a TTL (digital) and an analog 0-5V signal.

Fiber pigtailed AO modulators, pulse pickers, and Phase modulators are also available at various wavelengths.

Resonon have launched a SWIR version of their popular Pika series cameras. The Pika SWIR hyperspectral imager is a high spatial and spectral resolution Short-Wave Infrared (1,000-2,500 nm) camera. It is compatible with Resonon’s benchtop and outdoor systems. Integration with the airborne system is coming in the near future.

The SWIR wavelength range enables diverse applications, including mineral exploration, pharmaceutical inspection, soil characterization, and waste recycling.
