RF Drivers for Modulators and Fixed Frequency Shifters

AA Optoelectronic offers radio frequency drivers for fixed frequency shifter and modulators.

Description

Based on quartz oscillators, these drivers for modulators and fixed frequency shifters produce a fixed RF frequency signal. AA provide drivers at any frequency from 10 to 3 GHz. All models use crystal controlled oscillators. The settling time varies from 2 ns to 100 ns depending on the fixed frequency and RF power. Usually the driver is coupled internally to a power amplifier; if the output power required is very high then the amplifier will be provided separately, offering RF powers up to 500 W CW.

There are two types of fixed frequency drivers available: the MODAxx/MODKxx and the MODAGxx drivers. The MODAxx/MODKxx drivers provide standard fix frequencies such as 40 MHz, 80 MHz, 110 MHz, etc. The MODAGxx drivers can provide any fixed frequencies according to the user’s needs in the range of 10-400 MHz, such as 40.002 MHz, 94.297 MHz, 108.456 MHz, etc. The RF power can be externally modulated with a convenient input signal, analog or TTL on request. Cooling is assured by conduction through baseplate for the OEM version.
